Team Kochi, the latest entrant to Indian Premier League, was put together by Shailendra Gaikwad of Rendezvous Sports World — at least that’s what Gaikwad says.

Shashi Tharoor, who has recently resign as minister of state for external affairs for his links in the Rendezvous Sports World’s Kochi in Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, told in his latest tweet that he is looking forward for a “thorough inquiry” in the IPL cricket tournament.
Tharoor, who is very active on social networking based site Twitter, has tweeted late Friday: “Looking forward to a thorough inquiry into the IPL. If my resignation leads to real reform, it will be worthwhile. Our cricket should be clean.”

The Maharashtra government will launch a probe into the IPL links of Ravi Gaikwad, a scam-hit transport official who is also the brother of Kochi team promoter Shailendra Gaikwad.
The government has also begun suspension proceedings against Ravi for his alleged role in the superbikes customs evasion scam last year. He was mentioned by IPL chief Lalit Modi as one of the stakeholders of Rendezvous soon after the bidding last month.
Ravi was the official who gave the controversial registration tax waiver on the Ferrari sports vehicle gifted to Sachin Tendulkar in 2002, though no action had been taken...
